1. There are reoccuring problems in Latin America involving different groups of people. In my class I did a stimulation involving five different groups including the Peasants, Army and Wealthy, the U.S, the Guatemalan Government, and these rebels who were called the Guerillas. In this game it showed a great amount of cause and effect, showing how treaties and promises can be broken. Treaties were made between powerful groups and some treaties were broken causing the power to shift to other groups. Starting off the game with the Army and Wealthy with the most MSU power, in 2nd the U.S and the Guerillas, and with the 3rd most power it was the Guatemalan Government, and Peasants with the least amount of MSU power. By the end of this stimulation the U.S had given away 75 MSU's to the Army and Wealthy to defeat the Guerillas and takeover the Government with a leadership that runs a Democracy.
